Scoring against Man Utd carries little weight for me these days 😂 I want to see more before I go there.
Not a lot between them for me. Despite Timber having more goals up to now, I still think Gabriel has more goal threat going forward (West Ham are diabolical at set pieces). I prefer Gabriel’s minutes too, but it’s a very small margin. Finally…I have the spare money so happy to go up to Gabriel!
Think it’s too early to be chasing rank! One good week can halve your rank right now. Likewise…a bad one can double it! Good luck whichever way you go!

I get the thought process but honestly, just for this week, you gotta go with the herd in my opinion. I am expecting something more modest from him, like a 9 pointer, but I would not rule out a 13 pointer by any stretch. That could be 39 points you’re trying to make up and it’s very possible!

Key contributors: Watkins missed header - that is a striker very low on confidence. Palmer recurring injury - He’s an avoid for me now for a while. Sub-5.0 DefCon defender options - Senesi, Mitchell, Guehi, Andersen, Gudmundsson…lots of reliable options emerging

Wildcard 8 looking very likely for me too, and I will probably bring Salah back then. He’s only going because I know there’s going to be lots of Haaland captain vs Burnley and probably a lot of triple captain too.
Roll the transfer. Opens up the option of a double switch involving Salah and Haaland next week!

Very interesting! 60 minutes and then off I suspect. Did not expect him to start so soon, but I guess playing matches is how you get match fit!
I’m currently pondering FH6, WC7. Reason being that I do need to Wildcard, but 7 looks more preferable to 6. However…I think my season would be over if Haaland hauled big against Burnley. I would also like to wait for Saka too, and NEW(A) is one I’m happy to avoid for other Arsenal assets.

Absolutely! Not so good for picking my FPL team 😆 but great strength in depth for Arteta this season.
Of course Martinelli and Trossard score and assist each other, just to throw a bit more doubt into the Arsenal starting lineup 😂 #FPL

Still not crazy about wildcard GW6. I only want Haaland from City. I want Arsenal from GW7. Still feels a bit meh. I think rolling a transfer this week, and double switching Salah and Bowen to Haaland and maybe Grealish in GW6 is the play. Then start drip feeding in Arsenal from there. #FPL
For those without Haaland: do you plan to bring him in? And if so, when? And if so, will you be moving Salah on to accommodate him? #FPL

The issue with wildcards this early: Is Liverpools defence good or bad? Is Reijnders good or bad? Haaland or Salah? Are West Ham good or Forest Bad? Isak or Ekitike? Wissa or Woltemade? Is DefCon worth the investment? Abandon Forest defence? Is Wood good or bad? I prefer 6 weeks of data first #FPL
Also in the same boat with Everton benching. I benched KDH after playing him first two games 😂
Seen a lot of people with points on their bench (including me!) this week. It stings badly! Reminds me why I often choose not to have much bench depth
A lot of people jumped off Bowen this week and he delivered. Watkins is a reliable FPL asset still. Rogers not so much.
I think Ekitike will start GW4 with Isak coming on around 60 minutes. From then on, I wouldn’t be surprised to see one start Premier League games and one start Champions League games. I would imagine Isak takes Premier League games.
Urgh. I have stuck by Bowen with a view to transferring him out for Ekitike for GW4. Do I hold? He is fixture proof, off the mark, and West Ham boosted by a big win… #FPL

This, for me, seriously brings Brennan Johnson into the equation as a potential pick. I know Spurs fans like to have a moan about him, but when he starts firing, he generally continues to do so for some time. #FPL
Watching back the Spurs vs Burnley highlights, Burnley showed attacking intent, it wasn’t a total ‘park the bus’ approach. I am still apprehensive about Man Utd attackers, but it feels like it’s an obvious one that I would kick myself over afterwards. #FPL

Absolutely this. The whole point of having directors of football and technical directors is so that you can interchange coaches and maintain the ‘DNA’ of the team over the years. Doesn’t add up if Amorim can dismantle the squad to appease his failing tactics.
Given that I had reservations about Palmer’s general FPL performance for 2025, I’m happy to sell this week and potentially revisit on my wildcard down the line. The Palmer fear-factor isn’t there for me anymore. #FPL

Oh no doubt, I thought he was indeed running, and working hard. He just couldn’t match that explosiveness of the Newcastle players. The ‘snap’ that Premier League players have in their physical movements (not just running, but tackling and duelling).
The pace and intensity of the game last night was extremely high. Wirtz got swallowed up by it. Very, very early question marks over his physical suitability to the league. He’s not a sell, but he’s not a buy at present for me. #FPL

Team looks ok to me. You’d be using wildcard to address 2 issues in my opinion. I wouldn’t be shy of playing Esteve against Man Utd. He can get DC or potentially clean sheet. Saka obviously has to go.
