The GOP and @JDVance have spent more time this week acting upset that "thoughts and prayers" are not a solution for gun violence than they have over the reality that the gun violence actually happened. It will continue to happen because "thoughts and prayers" is all they have.
(6,6) No, the issue is not gun free zones and the answer is not adding more guns. We have gone down that path for many years now and the result this week was more dead kids and more parents planning funerals.
(5,6) The idea that adding guns makes us safer was the big lie. When you dig down deeper, AR 15's also are only a problem of the past 25 years. If you want to look at why we have more dead kids in schools, just look at the AR 15 sales. It is all that you need to know.

(3,5) Adding guns to every school and for teachers is an oversized response that is only for the benefit of the gun industry and designed to sell more guns. Without question, adding more guns to schools will cause more gun violence.
(2,5) For some real facts, there are over 130,00 schools in the United States and approximately 500 school shootings per year. Trust me, as I live with this every day, they are horrific when they happen. However, the fact is that is only .3% of all schools.
