I encourage everyone to enjoy the games that make them happy. But BMW was the straw that broke my back for that sort of gameplay. I'm tapped out- I need a few years of RPGs to get back to my roots.
I mean- I assumed it was trying to make HP money when Fantastic Beasts was cutting its return in half with each sequel. FB clearly was failing and it's still one of the biggest brands out there. So the choice was either do something new (points at FB failing) or something old... reboot.
It's a good month (or well, section of 30 days) to be a fan for several of those.

I've always encouraged people to do their original schtick at ren fairs. Everyone I know that frequents them eventually comes up with their own persona and outfit to make "them" anyways. There's nothing wrong with being an existing person, mind.

It's also wasteful. If you spend 10 minutes a day bitching about other people or the games they play- that's an hour a week spent on nothing. 56 hours (or more than two days) over the course of a year. AKA 7 full work days, except you're not even getting paid to not have fun

Huh. Haven't seen the mother feral cat around- but the two kittens (now IIRC 4 or 5 months old) still show up for food. Perhaps in the colder nights- she's gone to another house? That'd be relatively ideal for us because she was no closer to being friendly enough to pick up and get fixed.
There's a collection of Heists called IIRC "Golden Vault" or something. Does a good job of building a mission around NOT rolling up and trying to fight everyone.

The 1st person part is basically a horror game. Zone Magic's protagonist is a kid (12) that has adults attacking him. No magic for the MC means, at best, it's a pre-teen trying to throw down with full-grown men. The pre-teen doesn't win that. m.youtube.com/watch?v=7t8x...

Zone Magic was originally intended to be a video game. The idea was the more magic you used- the closer the 3rd person camera would get to you (as your Zone shrank with each spell cast) until you were "out" and had to rely on 1st person until you could restore it. I maintain the idea had merit.
He doesn't have to- but still tries to obey the rule to be polite.

Here's the thing- I have brothers. One of them is extremely political: he constantly listens to podcasts, he reads articles, and he'll tell anyone who asks or broaches the topic about his political opinions. Hours and hours of his time- every week. For years. I think he got 3 people to change.

Hard to say- though Azure Dreams holds a relatively unique niche I've not seen matched. It's a monster tamer game for the PSX. You have a random generated dungeon tower you keep going in to find treasure and monsters to raise. You use the money gained to build onto the town you live in. 1/

Look- I don't hate the Overlord anime series. I just dealt with too many assholes in D&D that almost word-for-word parroted some of Ainz' thoughts and reasonings in order to ruin campaigns for everyone else. And that means I'm not watching a series that makes that sort of person look cool.
