Sounds great! I do wonder if the standard camera should really be centered on the player character; I would personally value the camera being centered a little ahead of where the character is so I can see where I'm going easier, especially if there's ways to go faster than this
My discover feed has recently been taken over by bunnies. 10/10 would recommend, great pallette cleanser for when the world is a scary place (example bunny pic and its alt text taken from @dailybunnies.bsky.social - look at how floopy its ears are! Floop)
This may be a tangent, but I sometimes worry I'm too far the other way - where I don't really explore my options to share my music to their fullest potential because if it becomes "business" or otherwise loses its fun then I'll lose all the reason to keep friends I have and treasure in the scene

Problems arise when someone rejects attraction because it doesn't fit a (self-assigned!) label - labels should be in service to the ego, not the other way around. You love who you love, and categories only serve a purpose in that they can communicate in a word properties of your attraction in a probabilistic sense. Just because someone is "gay" doesn't mean they're attracted to everyone on the same position of gender, and similarly it also doesn't mean (2/4)
There's always been a bit of cognitive dissonance to me in the idea that simultaneously we can have gender and attraction as spectra and also that we need increasingly niche microlabels to "accurately" depict our relationships as humans with those spectra. (1/4)

I *wish* it was only 8 minutes long. It's a full 20 minutes of alternating between an operatic soprano singing about cowboys, the soprano rapping about americana, bagpipe solos, the children singing about various holidays (and advertising for corporations), and the entire group slamming instruments.

Yesterday was a blast. Got to put on some of the wildest arrangements with some phenomenal musicians yesterday as Ankylo Tail took the Hero Stage at VGM CON by storm, and I also got to sit in with DK Adventure's set later that day! Today, though, I get to chill out and rest and listen.

To our benefit, we only did have one "bully" ever, and he vanished immediately. But despite achieving parents' goals, it wasn't right for all the kids. Inconsistent scheduling and incomplete subjects lists meant it wasn't a "school", and there were kids who needed that structure to succeed. (5/5)
"Un"schooling, where parents intentionally didn't teach their children, was pretty rare for parents who cared enough to join the co-op, but there were definitely some kids who genuinely didn't know how to learn. Those kids were usually the ones who showed up once in a blue moon. (4/5)
versatility (have their child attend classes taught by other parents, so each parent doesn't need to simultaneously master all subjects), while others simply seemed to think that if they showed up a few times their kid would magically become ✨social✨ and not get bullied. (3/?)
...the disparity between students who were involved in co-op activities most days of the week and students who showed up once was incredibly obvious. There were all sorts of reasons why parents chose homeschool over public; for some parents the goal of using the co-op was to improve educational(2/?)
I was part of a homeschooling "co-op" before, which was genuinely comparable in size to a local school's class size if not larger (albeit made up of several ages of students comingling in the same class, rather than a group of peers at exactly the same age). It was better than nothing, but... (1/?)

Nice to know I'm not alone - audio recording was a mistake, midi is worth its weight in gold. That said, I have a soft spot for bouncing my midi back to my keyboard's sound engine sometimes instead of using VSTs
Question to my keyboard friends: Do you record your keyboard stems as midi or as audio? I recently tried audio recording for the first time (I've usually done MIDI recording in the past) and it's so much more stressful needing to get the articulation of each note correct

I like the current profile photo a lot - the new headshot has lovely lighting but it sacrifices a bit of player personality. At profile picture sizes, it'll be more difficult to tell that you have a trombone if you switch, but that might work if you're trying to promote the composer/arranger side.

Even invoking geckooooo's name is not sufficient to convince me, the only way to make our current factory bigger right now is to build out new miner lines anyway and most of the work there is nonstandardizable
our entire factory runs on like four smelter arrays and it still produces more than enough of each material for consumptive purposes (not counting foundries for steel) i am only now, in later-mid tier 7, considering adding a fifth miner and array so we can make more copper
between sloops and powerslugs you can generally force whatever building you need to produce whatever amount of material you actually have to get from it, which can cover most the math that a modular solution would require (not refinery products, since you need to handle the correct ratio of outs)
we have literally not touched blueprints ONCE
The real secret is to avoid rebuilding spaghetti as much as possible unless you absolutely need to, and just let the conveyors continue to stretch over themselves
