Season 5 is pretty good. Amanda vs Taylor (Lisa Rinna) led to some very fun stuff. But almost the whole OG cast was gone by the start of season 6, and when Jane remarried Michael I wanted to 🤮

The best part of OG Melrose was that it was this overly earnest yuppie drama that descended into camp madness for ratings. It’s so hard to recreate that. The closest modern equivalent in Riverdale, which started as teen soap, then by the end was time travel and haunted dolls 🤣

Watched #KPopDemonHunters tonite. I'm an Old™, so it wasn't "For Me" necessarily, but it was cute & enjoyable. It's basically Buffy the Vampire Slayer + Powerpuff Girls+ lots of anime. Characters are always at a 10, which usually annoys me, but I liked it here. The epitome of "Everything is a Remix"

There’s honestly no way we can know until then. I’ll concede probably not as many as the ones from my youth (I’m 50) but that’s also because movies don’t have the same cultural currency as they did when I was a kid. Games + streaming shows are bigger. But I don’t think the answer is none.

The Conjuring and A Quiet Place, for starters. A lot of people already place them highly in “greatest horror movies ever” online lists and they’re not even that old. And no doubt they were a whole generations first theatrical horror, like Poltergeist and Elm St were for me.
