I stand with our Trans community in Minneapolis and everywhere. The Trump administration and right wingers are using today’s mass shooting (which they have enabled through blocking gun control) to demonize our neighbors. Time to double down our support for our trans neighbors.
Cis people: This is where you fucking step up. Do everything you can to support trans people in the coming days. You're going to hear horrible, hurtful rhetoric about us. Shut it down. Don't let it stand. And buy the trans people in your life a drink.
Minneapolis press is confirming the shooter was a trans woman. I am so afraid for the beloved trans folk in my life.

In Minneapolis, pharmacies are already denying access. I tried to get my young adult kids last year’s boosters and we were denied at multiple pharmacies because they are under 65. (I should qualify for new one due to asthma.)

In the last week alone, Rush University Medical Center, UChicago Medical, and Children's National announced closures of their gender affirming care programs. Today, Kaiser Permanente announced a pause on surgeries and Connecticut Children's Medical Center announced the closure of their program.

After years of raising my children a lone after my partner’s death from cancer, all while working a demanding job I was fried. 7 years ago I wound up in the hospital from it. Took months of leave & switched roles and life has been so much better. Burnout is no joke.
