I especially love how Power Girl is written here. Saladin Ahmed does a good job balancing between writing her as a brainy tech head and a tense fighter.
I love that the team is actively questioning everything Red Tornado is telling them. It fits their respective characters and adds a ton of awesome tension to the whole thing. #comicsky

Norman as Spider-Man is far different from Otto's turn in Superior. He's not doing this out of ego and a drive to outdo his former nemesis. He's doing this out of a sense of guilt and respect for Peter. Hey, throughout the issue, his inner monologue acknowledges how difficult it is to be Spider-Man.

(6/6) Overall, though, this was a ton of fun and I'm excited to read Batman/Deadpool this November.
(5/6) There was one crossover I wasn't fond of. The writer for that one clearly favored one character over the other and the art was an eyesore. You'll know exactly which one I'm talking about if you read it.
(4/6) The others, like Daredevil/Green Arrow and Krypto/Jeff were a ton of fun and did a great job filling out the rest of the issue with all kinds pf superhero fun. I'd happily read entire issues about each of them.
(3/6) Unsurprisingly, my favorite was Wonder Woman and Captain America. Both of them deal with the constant pressure of having to be perfect symbols and seeing them inspire each other to be their best selves made my heart sing. I'd happily read a mini-series just about them.
(2/6) Most of the other pairings and their respective creative teams did a pretty good job capturing the voices of their respective characters and did a great job with having the characters mesh together.
(1/6) I was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed the main story with Batman and Deadpool as much as I did. They surprisingly bounce off each other really well. Bruce works really well as a straight man to Wade and his shenanigans.
Overall, this was a fun little anthology. I'm gonna have to make this a thread. 🧵🧵🧵

One thing I keep wondering about the Absolute Universe, is whether or not it'll give us a new version of Lex Luthor.
I just quit using Google. DuckDuckGo works fine. It *does* have A.I. nonsense, too, but it's easier to shut down.
This is an especially good time to do it, as federal funding for all public media was targeted earlier this year! Local public radio, TV, and theatre programs are struggling to stay afloat and you can be a genuine fucking hero to them!
