Its clear why people believe the sidewalk is a safe haven but ignoring the legality and issues with pedestrians, it can also be dangerous especially at intersection. Add to that the many uncontrolled intersections and sometimes limited visibility, unless you are riding at slow speeds its an issue.

Make no mistake- Poilievre’s campaign to remove 34(2) of the criminal code which determines multiple conditions for “reasonable force” will allow you to murder anyone who enters your home unexpected. Lost senior? Confused child? Someone needing help? This would allow you to KILL them and say “oops”
