For me, it’s playing with friends who I don’t get to see as often because of distance, jobs, kids, etc. When BG3 relaxed we had a group that played the entire game together. Similar thing with Nightreign. But I never really “met” people through online gaming. Probably my age though
I’m not going to lie that some part of me isn’t intrigued but I know, like a lot of Nintendo accessories and things I’ve purchased, I’ll sit on a shelf collecting dust after an hour or two
