Texas was already gerrymandered to a disgusting degree. The new maps aren't subtle at all. They are blatantly saying Black and Brown people do not deserve representation or a voice in this country. Texas Republicans don't even sugar coat it.
Texas is a majority-minority state, yet Republicans drew maps that make white votes carry 2-3 times more political power than Black or Hispanic votes. That’s what gerrymandering does: it cracks and packs communities of color so their growing numbers translate into less representation.

I spent 5 years following Atlanta families working multiple jobs but still unable to afford a place to live. Now they fear losing food stamps and Medicaid — but JD Vance has no interest in them. That's the real story: demonizing homeless people is cover for policies pouring gasoline on this crisis.
He loves to create chaos. Lies and deception are his strongest attributes. Such a pitiful man.
This is a great strategy. If our government isn’t going to proactively address these issues, then we are going to have to be strategic about doing so.
