No pretense that US is somehow engaged in an armed conflict that might justify lethal targeting in this manner. As I told @npr.org this morning, we have a word for premeditated killing outside of armed conflict: murder. (Also the administration has not substantiated any of its factual claims.)

Friday afternoon excitement.

Olive the brown Boston terrier moments after receiving a rubber ball. In short order she figured out how to begin peeling the rubber apart and all further play had to be closely supervised. This making it a strictly outdoor toy but a very fun one being hard to catch but easy enough to carry.

When standing and operational it could be remote controlled by operators at the Florida Institute of Technology.(FIT) The sky is still very dark here so far as Florida’s skies go these nights but our light pollution continues its metastasis. — *As a bonus I found a couple kilograms of lead here today, presumably forgotten or purposefully neglected during demolition of the observatory.

Florida DOGE is making some noise about issuing subpoenas around here. Said the officials contacted the other week were not sufficiently cooperative. It sure seem to be just spectacle and political punishment - we have a surprisingly effective government down here.

I felt that way about stumbling across the National Electronics Museum in Maryland while just in area to see the NSA Cryptography museum. Certain when I visited though signs read “National Defense Electronics Museum.” I’ll have to consult my photos to see if they indeed dropped the word “Defense.”

😂 Could be. And they did a some copper dealers a solid here. It’s very weird to see, because these neighborhoods sprout like weeds everywhere and often have poor occupancy rates but they do finish building them. We even have some equipment in here but not connected to anything, just languishing.

Abandoned lift station. New, never used. Abandoned lift station. New, never used. Filled with rain water infiltration and confusingly a ladder abandoned by a contractor.

I wonder what went wrong. 🤔

NNSA's budget is for contractors to have massive spaghetti parties and then they tell us everything is fine and the nukes work.

All the plutonium pits in our nukes are actually made of spaghetti and it's fine as long as we keep pretending.

Some pretty great foreign Geiger counter sellers who’ve reliably moved awesome NOS or refurbished Soviet-era equipment into our hands are beginning to report American buyers stricken off the list because of uncertainty around or specific tariff actions. :/

I’ll have to check it out. :) Other than having a number of these little comic panels I haven’t myself heard or read of his career.
