Katrina was a while back, but I remember calling up my mother to tell her the nightmare senerio was happening. A category 4 or 5 hurricane was coming straight to New Orleans and on it's way to Baton Rouge. She reassured me that she and dad had cd's to watch just in case they lost electricity.

Republicans/conservatives find the worst ways to steal from taxpayers, with no shame even if people die. Stripping public agencies and utilities in order to privatize them is highly profitable to MAGA because these public agencies and utilities function well BEFORE they're decimated.

Trump cuts FEMA, then, turns around and lets private companies provide medical, pick up, and rebuilding. Billing the state or the feds for the services. Trump will leave the state to clean up. He already is. Contractors will be left to fight between the state and him. Making the disaster worse.
