I agree with Senator Lankford on almost nothing. But I always saw him as smart and principled. It is so sad to see him contort himself like this to please his Dear Leader. How sad.
It sure does! Each of your parents has an amazing story through which key parts of 20th century history can be told and understood. As soon as I read the last page I turned to Amy and told her she would love the book (as she did Forty Autumns). I truly hope our paths will cross in DC sometime soon.

We are at the point in this country where military personnel & law enforcement personnel & government officials need to say no to the tyrant. We are at the point in this country where Americans serving in government need to disobey his orders. We’re well past that point.
Only a tyrant would try to use the American military against American citizens on American soil. Only a fascist would do that. Only a traitor would do that. And if Trump does that, he’s declaring war on the American people. And the American people will have no choice but to fight back against him.
That’s the lesson Trump learned in the first term. Don’t hire people qualified for their posts, people who will tell him what he NEEDS to hear. Only hire unqualified morons who tell him only what he wants to hear.
