That seems like an issue with your publication medium rather than content. Ie, a long form content posts could have 1 post as an introductory and 1 post as an indepth analysis with links between them. Shortform content posts fail at this due to how the medium communicates

It's not that you don't deserve it or anything, everyone deserves fun. Conventions as a whole experience (badge, food, lodging, murch etc) are fucking expensive. If you need to ask other people to give you money for free to afford that, it's problematic behavior.
Friendly piece of advice. If you need to ask for donations to go to a convention you need to focus on your income issues and not be going to a convention.

To an extent he's not wrong. Those absolutely are the logistical challenges that need to be dealt with on Mars. You need to reliably produce food water and various materials and metals. I don't know how they would grow trees there given Martian soil is what it is.
