Ich würde eher die Bauarbeiten an der Elsenbrücke so schnell wie möglich beenden. Das ist nämlich die Engstelle, die zu diesem massiven Stau führt.
Ich selbst wohne übrigens in Berlin.
Wenn das Ganze steuerfinanziert ist, muss es sich finanziell nicht mehr rechnen. Dann sollte der Bus nach Hintertupfing oder Gigeritzpotschn zumindest jede Stunde fahren und nicht nur einmal am Tag. Ansonsten wäre das gegenüber den Menschen, die dort leben extrem ungerecht.
Wenn die Öffis zu 100 Prozent durch Steuern finanziert werden sollen, dann müssen sie ersteinmal für alle Bürger*innen verfügbar sein. Jenseits der großen Städte sind sie das aber zur Zeit leider nur sehr eingeschränkt.

I think you remember the episode incorrectly. I just rewatched it and could not find what you are referring to. It is supportive of Una and other Illyrians who were excluded, persecuted and mistreated because of their genetics. It does not say much about the parents or Illyrian society as a whole.
It will lead to a society where beeing genetically engineered is the norm. A society that will suffer from all the problems and dangers that you describe. I completely agree with you there.
Gattaca is one of my favourite movies. But it shows only one of many possible futures. Personally, I think it is more likely that genetic engineering will be strictly regulated or even banned.

Una is not a eugenicist. Her DNA was altered before birth by eugenicists. Treating her and people like her different because of that is most certainly a form of marginalisation.
On the other hand we have four humans whose DNA and way of thinking were tampered with by an experimental drug synthesized from Spocks blood - a process that apparently overwhelmed their Katras (minds/souls) and turned them into caricatures of Vulcans.
Does the episode say that? There are three Vulcans in this story. Spock - not a racist dick. Doug - not a racist dick. And Admiral Pasalk - somewhat prejudiced against humans, but also not a racist dick.
