Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
If bluesky or football can ruin your day then Iām sorry for interacting with someone so fragile. Have a good life.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
I feel like I just observed a weird catfishing attempt.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
lol Iād be more triggered if I stubbed my toe. You are doing your best to sound like a 9 year old still.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
And also if the best day of your life had anything to do with football, you have a very, very empty life.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Iām not a Newcastle fan. It just always ends the same way with mercenary players like Isak.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Bless.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Thatās an adultās photo, but you appear to be 9 years old.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
Rather they signed Isak than Guehi.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
He'll be agitating to move to Madrid within 18 months. And, he's not Mbappe.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Or is he just frightened of the media and the far right? (Same thing really)
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
I don't think it does. Everybody I know who goes to games mentions it.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
lol. New hobby time.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Didn't Liverpool already offer £110m?
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Best defensive winger in the league. But it's not enough.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Sadly Martinelli will never get the level of composure and decision making we need. When defending he's elite, so he reads a game well. Confidence has impaired his directness, but the delivery in the final third has never been great. I think he had a 'better' end to last season, no more.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Indeed. One of the best defensive wingers in world football. Reads the game well, tackles well, breaks down attacks. The attacking side of his game has gone steadily backwards. Every time I see him I think, Pires used to play in that position.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
You won the jumping to conclusions front.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Not in my lifetime.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Smart teams are going for both. Rare feat though.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
How could you possibly normalise that data? š¤£
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Indeed. How depressing.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Well yeah, not surprising if some of the most important adult figures in their lives have already decided they are a lesser human being before meeting them.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Not that kind of life.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Swan neck. Northern.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
I don't want to be mean, but I've never understood why anybody would say America is the greatest country. It's the richest, sure. Is that how we measure great?
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Good decision!
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Go for it, life's short!
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
It'll be nice to unwrap a fresh one. Although he might be a childhood Barca fan, who knows?
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
And the Real Madrid set is in the cupboard waiting a couple of years.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
Two ways Isak thing ends. He plays well for Liverpool and forces a move to Real Madrid in two years. He's average to poor and ends up one of those players that nobody likes.

"Pat, why do you carry that ridiculous 600mm lens on long hikes?" Buddy, I can see mountains reflected in the eyes of a trailside pika.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
Just searched for somebody who I might work with. There was a piece in The Daily Mail criticising them. My kind of person.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
I think my Mac stopped that habit for me. Luckily I still do the odd piece of scripting which allows me to use propervariablenames.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Sadly I can't make it this year, but I can thoroughly recommend Roger's tasting events.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
Gordon blew that for Newcastle, but that Liverpool defence looks an utter mess.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Well the two lines down van dijkās leg suggest otherwise.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Liverpool have a no dickheads rule? Funniest thing Iāve read in a while.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes itās a failing for sure. No team should be dependent on a single player. Unless itās Messi
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
That weakness being called No Rodri. There is a reason heās rated by many as the best player in the world. They are half the team without him.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Iāll be amazed if she doesnāt!
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
Spurs are like a secret agent Arsenal operation. Thanks lads.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
What really worries me is that the jury reached a decision in an hour. There werenāt any strong dissenting voices among them? How can this be a crime? The anonymity is just how the law works and is fair enough.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes it can be incredibly shit. Then when it's busy it's unbearably shit! š¤£

A couple of vendors are now claiming that their OKR software is your new Chief of Staff. If all your Chief of Staff does is guess the next word, avoids meaningful discussion and operates with absolutely no empathy.... Fill your boots.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Some lovely beers there. Deep Seas is underrated.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
I really don't like sparklers, but the biggest issue I have is when a beer is past it's best. A sparkler can hide the visual signs of that. Won't be an issue with Oakham's finest of course. Even on a well conditioned beer it makes for a keg like head that I can do without.

One way you can tell an organisation suffers with focus? When they include the word focus in a sentence along with lots of commas and an and.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
I never liked lambics until about the 10th try.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Sounds delicious Roger. Cheers!
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Iād agree if it wasnāt for the fact theyād be replaced by Heineken and Budweiser. Theyāve done more damage to craft beer than BrewDog could ever aspire to.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Five words too many for me.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
That is sad. Seriously. Itās good to give breweries a showcase, but as a customer choice is important.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Won't anybody think of us poor gingers? I think you'd have enjoyed These Hills, lovely setting.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Thatās great. Goes to show there is an audience for keg there. Hopefully itāll be a bigger selection next year.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Totally agree with you. I love a cask Mild, Best, Pale Ale etc but I donāt need a choice of 30 of each at a festival. That would make room for keg.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Good to hear. Iām quite fit but standing for 4 hours drags! Beer choice is trickier, but the likes of Track, Elusive, Deya have to be brought into the fold. Iād love to see a keg offering as good as possible as well.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Good analysis. Even as a Londoner I thought the festival should travel a bit. Iāll visit it in Brum one year. Were there more seats this time?
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent

@tabamatu.bsky.social Oregon trail is tasting better than ever. Have you changed up the recipe?
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent

Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
š Metrics like DAUs, MAUs, or number of searches run are common OKR choices, but not necessarily good ones. They track activity, but this is not the same as tracking value. A good OKR tracks value for your customer, not just usage of your product. #okrs #productmanagement
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Enough to make a nice tomato sauce....
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Your tastes change over time. Something you didn't like 5 years ago, you might like now. Not strictly beer related!
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
These Hills. What an incredible beer festival. So many highlights. @balancebrew.bsky.social among them.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh to be fair. Jewish people are fairly familiar with ethnic cleaning on the largest scale ever seen. I guess youād call that fashionable. Desirable even. Now Iām going to mute you before you become even more offensive.

I read that as Mahler 6. Which is a great start to any day.

Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
The idea that Wallace and Torode benefit from screening Masterchef seems silly. Neither of them are likely to work in TV again and screening this will not change that. Not screening it hurts everybody else involved. Particularly successful competitors, for whom the show can be life changing.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
A typically erudite observation
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, you are allowed to say that too. You are also allowed to say that I don't support the existence of any nations because they didn't exist before they did.

Nethanyahu is pure evil. He certainly doesn't act in Israel's interest. He is only interested in prolonging this "retaliation" to keep himself in power and leave a terrible legacy. It's a day by day tragedy and we are complicit. You can say this and still believe Israel has a right to exist.
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social) reply parent

And there we are Trossard injured for this meaningless drivel. Thatās a decent incoming fee delayed. #AFC v #THFC
Ian Harvey (@ianharvey.bsky.social)
Not a great idea to play Spurs in a pre-season friendly. With the chip on their shoulder they are always likely to cause an injury. The only priority in pre season is no injuries. Get the first eleven subbed and stay away from challenges in the second half. #afc #thfc
