Untrue as well. You can rig up physical storage of renewable energy (wind a spring, lift a weight, pump water uphill) that is much less resource intensive than manufacturing renewable energy extractors (solar panels, wind turbines, hydroelectric plants).It’s the extraction that limits renewables.
Renewable energy is not unlimited - or we would all have free energy bills, wouldn’t we? Also, hydrogen fuel cells requires vehicles with resource intensive batteries and electric drivetrains made with the same rare earth elements as BEVs.
2/ It doesn’t matter how increasingly desperate the lives of the bottom 60% of Americans are getting in regards to the stock market as long as the rich have nowhere else useful to dump their increasingly large hoards of wealth, and use their money to make more money without having to lift a finger.
There is manipulation but there’s a better explanation. The top 1% now own 50% of stocks, top 10% own 93%. Money pours into stocks regardless of how the economy is doing month by month because the US system is functioning as intended - funneling increasing amounts of wealth to the already wealthy.
It doesn’t make sense with renewable energy. For any renewable source, it’s more efficient to power a battery electric vehicle than go through a hydrogen middleman. It does make sense, however, if you’re a fossil fuel company and you want to eventually replace cheap oil with cheap coal. (Coal to H2)
