In the span of 30 #TikTok posts there were 7 ads for #Hulu #DIsney+ #HBOMax bundle at deep discounts. Each ad has some 3000 comments telling them where to go and what to do when they get there. I'm thinking this #JimmyKimmel thing is not working out the way they hoped.

America has been so sanitized to violence in media that it has no idea what real death looks like. When our media says "this is graphic" it's literally nothing like what the rest of the world knows. Showing the reality of 'Nam changed our minds on it then, so show it now. They won't; they know.

This has been a turbulent week; in both my own health struggles as I prepare for my end, and in the larger waking world. But today was a forced adventure, and I found myself sipping coffee in a Cascade coffee shop being schooled on reality by a mountain who asked me to share this photo with you.

You don' mourn a man who weaponized and branded hate for profit and prestige. You can mourn our country, as this signifies it's final fall, sure. But Kirk was killed by his very words. He found his hill, and he did exactly what he said others should do on his hill. Mourn? The idea is vile.
If you just read that, and you know me, and you're perplexed how I find that noteworthy, then you clearly don't know me. What's happened is a tell on us. But in no way is it a tragedy for a man who weaponized and branded hate and division for profit and prestige. I weep for us, but not for him.
My thoughts are many, but I leave just this one: Clearly he didn't expect his words to actually shoot him. Anyone else, sure. He made it abundantly clear you needed to die for his rights, but he never thought he would. You can see that on his face as he reaches up for what's left of his neck.
So you AND Inktober. Well, alright... hold my root beer.

UPDATE: it turns out I am highly allergic to something in the pie and spent the rest of the night dealing with the fallout from that single piece. So, in point of fact, I didn't get that 2nd piece, though I would have had it if I could have. Odd, too; as I'm not allergic to regular pumpkin pie. 🤔

In 2020 I was 1 of the last people evacuating out of Forestville, Ca as fires swept through the town where the food bank I worked at was located. I literally outran a fire down a mountainside. Currently my #Seattle neighborhood is smoke choked by 3 regional #wildfires. THIS IS NOT NORMAL.

Since its inception I've tried to complete as much of every #Inktober as I could. I Had to skip 2024 because of all the surgeries and, you know, dying stuff. Always wanted to do a high quality set, though; people often sell them as an #art #book. And I'm thinking this year is the year. Stay tuned.
