Rolled credits on Silksong the other day after 32 hours. I definitely get the Dark Souls 2 comparisons, but here’s the thing: Silksong is good.

Totally. Definitely took a bit to get used to the directional stuff, but it feels weird to use the regular pogo now
unpopular, i know, but i kinda fw the diagonal pogo. you can get the standard pogo pretty early on, and i think its an interesting way to throw off hk sickos

I know this is nothing new and I’m just ranting at this point but it can be pretty deflating.
To spend 10 years working on a channel and pouring so much into it only to still be seen as a faceless corp that is only trying to “mislead” or “trick” the audience sucks. The few of us left genuinely care about this shit and it sucks that part of the audience rarely sees/believes that sentiment
One of my biggest reviews I’ve ever done didn’t get posted until months after release and the response was super positive (tbf it was for BG3), so a little bummed to see more negativity outside of the usual. People out here really think we have the resources to compete with IGN and it bums me out.
We’ve been going back and posting video reviews for games we missed after the layoffs/strategy shift and the YT comments have been so shitty. I’ve been doing this so long that I’ve got a pretty gauge on what the audience will dislike but this has genuinely taken me by surprise.
