And it's part of what's making me wonder who is working on the translation and subtitle editing of these shows and why there's no public credits for the staff working on them. Most localizers world really appreciate being credited, because credits build your resume/portfolio for future work.
Since I'm in a bunch of separate communities, I worry this'll be reacted to in at least a couple mutually exclusive ways
If nothing else, Iger doesn't seem as outwardly vindictive as an Eisner or Katzenberg, and even taking all that into account, it's not like the company even really cared lately about anything but doing safe things to a fault.

The main tricky thing is the viability of that format has mainly been tested as in-person events, like as a festival or limited release, but today we have the benefit of live stream showcases. I think it'd work to have an anthology premiere as the centerpiece of a larger thing like that.

TGA is supported enough by many programs now that if anyone really wants to use PNG for whatever, they can convert it themselves. I use PNG for web and video stuff, I would not use it for game stuff.

ANYWAY, now that I'm not fighting with Bluesky, Anime NYC is great.
I think players underestimate the severity of risk. big reason more people didn't play vampire the masquerade bloodlines when it was new was it used the source engine so they couldn't release until half life 2 launched. it reached shelves at the same time, got largely missed until the world moved on

I studied the formation of Sesame Street in college, it was one of the best classes I've ever taken in my life. So much of what we know about the way kids learn can be directly traced back to research conducted by the Sesame Street workshop.

To be clear, the straight shot is 20 minutes by car, but 6 hours walking, while more closely following the tracks is 45 minutes by car and 10 hours walking. And part of it's a hiking trail now, but that had to be fairly rugged terrain for the train to be built through in the first place.

In my gig as a school photographer, most of what I'd see played is like Coyote Peterson and Bluey and cheap gamified warm-up workouts (with pre-roll ads!) but there's no guarantee what some teacher might put on. School systems need something concrete to abide by, some seal of quality.
Counterpoint: While we keep PBS above water, can we take more seriously the need for classrooms to pledge to follow a certifier of educational channels? That way there's less ambiguity for teachers browsing videos for lesson material?
