I returned to college 2016 to early 2019. One of my accommodations was for a padded chair with support. It was better than the hard chairs, but not great. Then I had to constantly kick people out of the chair, even though there was a sign stating it was reserved for me.

I only knew about CPS because they came to interview me because violent real dad alleged medical abuse lack of care. Mom and stepdad were also interviewed.
All I could think of yesterday was bye b*tch. I was dx with PTSD from early childhood abuse. My dad used a tree limb. The wooden spoons were a thing, but plastic hairbrushes were another. I threatened to call CPS on my mom by age 11 for stepdad beating 5 kids with belts. The beatings stopped.
Same with MH, you can't force someone on medications. Successful treatment requires diagnosis, trying different medications to stabilize, therapy, and a stable living situation.
Research has proven that forced substance treatment doesn't work. The individual has to want to quit, and multiple modalities are necessary, treatment, and MH therapy. That's why drug courts have poor results.
I need this in my life, including the dogs. I couldn't afford the mini housing communities. There is one on Oregon Coast I'd move to if I could. Sounds lovely.
