Creating a few posts to counter the "do nothing" narrative. This one is examples of Dems in the House using procedures to DELAY legislative activities. There hasn't been much of it due to FOTUS ruling by EO. Dems in the MINORITY party are doing what they can. Corrections/distribution welcome.

Their job is to lead their colleagues in the House and Senate - not to lead you. You didn't elect or appoint them to those roles and have no voice in that decision. Maybe you could spend some time learning about the roles before being loud and wrong even after being corrected.

I largely agree, but It's both. All 3 branches matter. Local and state elections do too. They're the feeder farms. Folks want to *maybe* show up every 4 years at a general, focus on the presidency, and act like they're civic MVPs. Changes in congressional rules and zero partisanship are brutal.

Many people still don't get it. People were sorely vexed and looking for immediate assurance that the guardrails would hold. Even many that understood the threat level were surprised by the velocity and feeling disoriented. Clear heads weren't necessarily prevailing. Thank goodness Schumer's did.
I agree that it's not over yet. I hope you're right about the percentages. I'm struggling to grasp how people even would have risked putting him in office if they did. He had already incited an insurrection and he's a criminal. The citizen reaction has not been consistent with his level of threat.
