Serendipity! On our recent CWB research trip at NARA I took a look at the naval pension file of a "Charles Brown", given it was such a common Nordic sailor alias. Low and behold a "new" Finn! He came from Nystad/Uusikaupunki, and had his leg broken when a Parrott Rifle exploded at First Fort Fisher.
