It’s an act of mass murder. If you suspect a vessel of smuggling drugs, you track it and then stop and board it, and conduct a search. After that, people may or may not be arrested. You don’t just fucking kill everybody on a boat in international waters because they MIGHT be smuggling drugs.

This sucks. My son is about to turn 10 and all 3 of my kids will be in the same elementary school this year. That this interview exists is proof of how badly we as a country have failed to do even the most minor things to protect children. But sure, tell me how great we are.
Every time I hear a kid talk about how they practiced for the mass shooting that eventually came, I think it's a searing indictment of our country's failure to actually give a shit about the safety of kids.
