Bought a full one from IKEA, halved it and gave the other half to a friend, however I think he gave it away.
I also use a sheepskin for long journeys, varies the pressure, warm in cold weather, cool in the heat, plenty of airflow. Lightly tied to the seat with eyelets/cord. Naturally dries, too.

Question arises... Chunky (not very, all chopped fairly finely) or blitzed? I do like texture.

So I'm slowly simmering a shallot/carrot/courgette sofrito in good olive oil, with garlic, chilli, mushrooms, peppers, sausage, all diced small, some basil and oregano, ready for the tomatoes to go in and emulsify. But I'm weary. At 6:40pm. Guess I'm staying up until the pasta sauce is ready then.

I had the R75/6, that heavy flywheel wobble, throttle on/off and the torque reaction on the shaft, every geometry changing depending on input! Great once you mastered the smooth approach to corners though.

Yeah, this one was alright, took off the original tall SE American custom style bars for lower ones, quite comfy.
The 850 had stronger gears throughout, also a more robust final drive output helical gearset and larger oilways in the top end. Put the whole engine in an XS750SE I built up. π

π§΅/3 Other times, when the road is swooping & diving, it's all about flow, you look at the curve, camber, surface, potential problems to tyre adhesion (there's 2 pretty small patches of rubber keeping you in touch with the road!) & gauging speed, lean angle, braking & acceleration, it's like a dance.
π§΅/2 As for the scenery, it's actually so much more than is shown in the videos, your peripheral vision catches glimpses of streams, flowers, wildlife, all that.

Yes, you push the whole lever in towards the case and rotate it backwards, it then functions as a kickstart, once running it pops back out and operates as a (rather long travel) gear lever π
I particularly like the multifunction gearlever/kickstart, apparently also has the function of a clutch lever too, pull in lever, press down (and keep pressure) on 1st, release bar lever - doesn't pull away until you ease the pressure on the foot lever. Clever.
I've just had an advert pop up on Youtube depicting prosperous markets full of fresh food in Gaza, allegedly July 2025. Advert reported and it appears it was a paid ad by... The Israeli Information Ministry. I don't get angered often these days, but bloody hell. How low. π‘
