I'm constantly telling people in these studios that, if you're thoughtful, a 2D movie with a budget of 7-10 million can feel like a 50-70 million dollar movie. 3D? Not as likely. Cheap 3D tends to look like cheap 3D, no matter how hard you try to hide it. You can really do amazing things with 2D.
