The bad faith actors will dishonestly draw a through line connecting trans people to mass shootings but will skip right to over the fact that many of these mass shooters are racists, antisemites and misogynists because they harbor some of the same sentiments as the shooters.
America took the leap from trans women are the biggest threat to sports to trans people are now the face of mass shootings in record time. Even for this country, that’s impressive.

I’m convinced that the resentment toward trans girls and women is steeped in men’s inability to comprehend that someone wouldn’t want to live their life as a man. They think being a man is superior, so in their mind someone “choosing” being a woman over a man is weird.
It’s only questionable in the sense that owners use it to create the narrative they’re broke to try to justify not giving the players a fair revenue split. It’s a completely legal practice, but they use this to further the stereotype that they’re the benevolent ones in pro sports.
One thing about golf: It doesn’t develop character. It reveals it.

What’s a corporate phrase or word that you hate? For example, I used to hate it when some producers at ESPN would say, “we had some learns today.” A new one is, “we’ve got some solves.” What’s corporate -speak do you despise?
Just thinking aloud here … but if Trump pardons Ghislaine Maxwell, won’t his base be absolutely furious? People are predicting a pardon because the assumption is she’ll somehow exonerate Trump. But as willfully gullible as his base is, are they really going to buy that there was no quid-pro-quo?
I am getting a special kind of pleasure out of seeing their own base eat them alive on this. Also, Mike Johnson and the warden from Shawshank Redemption are the same person and you can’t convince me otherwise.

And let me also add, another key factor — he rejected big money. Everything was grass roots and that tends to make you seem more believable and trustworthy with people, even if they don’t agree with them on everything.
The takeaway wasn’t to run socialists everywhere. The takeaway was that authenticity and being real with folks matters. Youth matters. Saying that you aren’t just going to be a stooge for Israel, matters. Mamdani’s messaging about the economy could have resonated anywhere.
