Okay, so yes this is a pattern I've made before and apparently memorized enough I forgot the original existed. It's the Drop Stitch Scarf by Christine Vogel. I'm using leftover yarn a friend gave me in rainbow solids so this one is going to be large blocks of rainbow colors.

I had perimenopause start at age 40, and my body is still having Aunt Flo visit. Ridiculous.

One of the drawbacks to living in an all native plants yard, is that by late summer/early fall the numerous bees start to make bad life choices. Today, a bumblebee decided to hitch a ride on the back of my fleece jacket to come into the house with me. My juvenile cats lost their everloving minds.

One of my favorite parts of gardening is finding all of the sleeping bumblebees. If you, too, need sleeping bumblebees in your life, consider summersweet (not pictured here), sunflowers, squash blossoms, and cosmos. They get all covered in pollen and cuddle up.
I’m better about spiders than I used to be, but they can still freak me out by a big one surprising me like that.
My literal nightmare: grabbing something from our car, I walked face first into a huge orb weaver spider and its web. Thankfully the spider was about a foot away from my face, so I didn’t (completely) lose my shit—which would have happened if it had gotten on my body.
