To recap: Vancouver is missing their top FOUR center backs, two starting-quality fullbacks, their Best-XI caliber defensive midfielder, RYAN GAULD (still), and THOMAS MULLER. However, Brian White will be available for selection. #RCTID
Injury report for tomorrow. Fory and Mosquera are both questionable. Crepeau is "close" to clearing concussion protocol. Tons of Vancouver players are out, most notably Muller. Cubas and Ocampo are serving a yellow card suspension. 4 CBs listed as out for the 'Caps. #RCTID

Perspective is definitely needed. The season isn't over, but the Timbers' repeated habit of playing down to the level of their opponents is the reason why they're not in the top four. They're still a playoff team. However, they don't strike fear into the hearts of anyone. #RCTID

One team really wanted to win. They won. One team was content to save their urgency for second-half stoppage time. That team lost. #RCTID
In order to score a goal, you have to go forwards. This is a pretty well-known fact, and most teams (aside from Portland) are familiar with it. #RCTID

Cont'd: Velde and Da Costa haven't been involved as much as they should be. Offense seems Antony-focused. Speaking of Da Costa, he's been completely ineffective out-of-possession. Portland's out-of-possession shape is still too easy to play through. #RCTID
Halftime thoughts from my couch: Asking Eric Miller to play the Juan Mosquera role hasn't worked before, won't work in the future, and definitely isn't working today. Would've been an "OK" half if they managed to get to the break tied at 0. #RCTID

This is the second game that Seattle and Miami have played against each other this season. In both, the visiting team has had two days of rest and a cross-country flight. Pretty ridiculous scheduling, in my opinion.

No use speculating about the winter when there's still the rest of the season to be played. The most important task is figuring out how to solve this problem now instead of looking forward to the offseason. #RCTID

A full DP replacement can't be signed either. If Portland wants to sign another midfielder, they'd have to be a free agent. The deadline to do so is next Friday (September 12th). #RCTID
Carballo's ACL is very unfortunate for the player, and it's also disastrous for the Timbers. With Rodriguez already occupying a SEI slot, there's no way that Portland can use that tag on Carballo. #RCTID
