I follow so many people who raise interesting insects or reptiles or other creatures I might otherwise not consider cuddly that for a second I saw this pic and thought, "Oh man what new thing am I gonna learn about that looks like a horror movie monster but actually makes an adorable pet?"
If you're someone whose ideals fall somewhere on the left & you get your info from the loudest, most mainstream left-leaning sources, it doesn't necessarily make you a bad person. But if you won't engage or be open to new information or subtler takes but you EMBRACE those sources, we might differ.
The doubling down part is key for me in making decisions about people. Lots folks aren't Very Online, & their intentions ARE good, but they don't have the time to read every progressive take. They have a few trusted sources, which tend to be loudest & least nuanced, b/c those get heard & sound good.
This is pretty much always kicked off when I see someone doubling down on a take that I feel is underinformed or lacking nuance. There's an, "I can't be wrong b/c my intentions are good so if you argue you're saying I'm bad, & I'm good, so YOU'RE BAD" thread running through certain online choices.
If you haven't been wearing a face mask in public lately (or just not consistently), now would be a great time to start. You deserve to protect your health.

It's not something I think makes you a bad person! It's just if I see someone doubling down on something I think isn't great & then I go to their page & see certain other choices, I know we're not quite in the same political lane, I guess. Doesn't mean we're not broader allies against Big Bad.
Please note that I am not saying that every person who reposts Lincoln Project or praises Gavin Newsom is my enemy and should be thrown into a lake of fire. I am just saying that if I see that combined with a take I find not great, I may conclude that the person & are are not on the same page.

I got a live basil plant from the grocery store & I gave it some water and put it by a window & it immediately COLLAPSED very dramatically & does not seem interested in reviving. I still got as much basil off of it as I would have gotten from packaged basil, at no greater money. But I'm annoyed.

Now that I know what's causing the glitch on the Instacart site, I can either order through there and not get wine or order through the Ralphs site. I don't order groceries very often, and I order alcohol even less. So it's no big deal for me. I'm just annoyed by their awful customer service.
You can order delivery from Ralphs if you use the Ralphs site, and add alcohol there no problem. And then their delivery is fulfilled through Instacart. So I don't know. I could go through their chatbot & ask for an assistant again and tell them, but I doubt it would help. Emailing didn't. Oh well.
For those who followed my Instacart/Ralphs adventure, I've been checking periodically and the problem continues. If you want to order delivery from Ralphs, same day delivery is available. Unless you add alcohol to your cart. Then you can only schedule a delivery the next day. 🤷♀️
