Can't speak for the man, but he's 33 years old. Probably didn't mind missing camp. Might've been waiting out the right fit / team that would pay him. 9 sacks in 2024 suggests he can still play a little, at least as a role player. We'll see.

Likely starters, IMO: LB: Jihaad Campbell CB: Adoree’ Jackson S: Sydney Brown, initially, with the possibility of Andrew Mukuba eventually supplanting him.
Vic Fangio says he knows who the starters are at CB, S, etc., but will let Nick Sirianni announce that. (Nick probably won’t announce that.)

It's insane to me. They have a young QB who could be great for the next 10+ years. Give him players to grow with. Don't surround him with old mercenaries just to be, what, something like the 5th best team in the conference heading into the season?
Eagles' average age is 25.49. If you took the 27 oldest Commanders players and shaved 5 years off each of their ages, their roster would still be older than the Eagles'.
I've been calculating the average age of every team in the NFL at final cutdowns every year since 2012. The 2 oldest teams previously were the 2023 Saints and 2018 Raiders, at an average age of 27.4 years old. The 2025 Commanders at 53-man cutdowns have an average age of 28.1.
