As I understand it, they are. Given the same inputs, you get the same outputs. The chatbots have a randomizer attached to avoid this. But even if there is inherent randomness, that’s not the same thing as cognition.

I think it is working left-to-right, but not the way we think of it. The big transition is the states just west of the Mississippi. (The chef states). I think we can identify its chunk size from that. (It’s probably heavily parallel within the chunk)

My theory is it’s because of their origins. When you’re buying books, it works ok, but it’s stuck on similar items, rather than related items. (And tweaking it probably drops the media sales while not really helping on bathroom fixtures)

A coworker alerted me to the fact that—starting this week—you now have to buy credits from Adobe to use the generative AI tools in the professional software we already pay a subscription fee to access, even if it generates something worthless…this isn’t a productivity tool, it’s a slot machine.
