Why aren’t employers complaining about the misuse of the National Guard? Usually they are called out less than two weeks a year and a weekend a month. Most have other jobs and they aren’t there due to Trump. Or am I missing something?

@velshi.com could you do a segment on the immigration process so people can understand how complex we have made the process and why people are still checking in after being here while. Most people don’t have a clue on why we should want Congress to fix the process. Thanks!

I am not surprise we are hearing a lot of “oops”, “I didn’t know that,” “I don’t know anything about that” and seeing them try to rehire and reimplement policies. That is what happens when you rush layoffs with no planning and thought. And it is done by people without the knowledge and experience.

When you are doing a layoff it takes time to determine who has the skills and talent needed to move the organization forward. And it takes time to prepare all the required paperwork. You don’t make that decision like Musk and Trump are doing -randomly with no thought.

HR can oversee a “merit” system and think about “DEl”. To hire the best make sure your candidates are qualified, diverse and looks like the community. Promotions make sure everyone has a chance for growth. And make sure everyone feels they belong in the company. It is easy to do both!

I would like to see the media to do a better job educating the public on immigration. Deportation isn’t new - Trump is doing it like a reality show with a mean-streak on the method. The process is expensive, cumbersome and time consuming and needs an overhaul. Both need to be covered.
