One of the more notable things about our present political moment is that former Republicans like Joe Walsh or the folks at the Bulwark have a more clear eyed understanding of political strategy than a significant number of long-time, moderate Democrats.
Stephen Colbert is still alive. The firing just made him more popular and a symbol of fascist resistance. I wonder if he shows no mercy with his monologues going forward. Wherever he shows up next will get so much attention. It could turn out to be a blessing for him.

The way God was taught in my CCD classes emphasized that God loves all his children. I’m not debating the Bible, I’m interpreting the lessons I was taught in my religious classes. God was framed as loving, not vengeful like some of the Bible stories.
I don’t argue with people because I hate them. I’m trying to find the love and justice in their argument. All I’m usually seeing is prejudice, greed and selfishness.
I sometimes call myself an atheist because I don’t believe in God the way it is usually defined. But some of the lessons I was taught in church still stay with me. My generous interpretation. GOD = LOVE Jesus = Justice I fight on the side of Love and Justice. This is my politics
