I’m privileged enough to own an early printing of this, so I’ve never seen any other versions of the colouring. But I know that the colouring is great, and we should make it a norm to reprint comics as they were originally intended.

It may have only been the UK web exclusive release. I don't know that for sure, but it reused some poster and VHS cover art that we had here for a long time. Pretty much until Tartan released it with the proper title, as I recall.
Usually when I talk about the movie, I have to explain that I'm talking about the Japanese movie and not the 80s American horror movie. But I just can't bring myself to say Hausu (unless it's in this context).
Correct and Accurate. Also, the film is "Ring," not "Ringu."
The amount of times I've explained this. It hurt my head when Arrow released the 4K with the original UK poster art that says Ringu when there's a whole part of one of the special features explicitly explaining that it's not the damn title.

I was getting a little upset at the manipulative/gaslighting behaviour in this movie. It reminded me far too closely of the abusive relationship I was in and how she acted. Even down to the fake screaming. But this just reinforced the unease of the whole movie.
Absolutely ghoulish fucking film. Brilliant. No notes.
And it is very very funny.
Naked Gun managed to be fully absurd and irreverent, with humour that is perfectly in keeping with the original show and movies, whilst taking a good hard dig at billionaires who make shitty electric cars and use our phones to enrage us, AND satirises police brutality and the lack of accountability.
We haven't done it in a while. We did a quadruple bill once and that was a little exhausting. It helps that we really enjoyed all 3 films.

It makes it feel like they're a little embarrassed of the material and are reassuring the audience that it's nothing to take seriously.
And "silly" doesn't mean a tongue in cheek, wink-wink-nudge-nudge, self aware approach. The characters acting like they know they're "silly" contradicts what makes them that way to begin with.
Their sentiment is a misunderstanding. When people say superheroes are silly, I know a lot of people just mean that their aesthetic and tone is bold and weird. But the "silly" part is that the strangest things are given a serious treatment and created in earnest. It doesn't mean superpowered clowns.
