Action Figure Pics of the Day: PRxSF final. Cammy as the green ranger. Odd they covered up her arms and legs after Ken having bare arms. I like them being covered, but i'm not a fan of the color. She'd work better with another color. Still a solid figure with good accessories.
Action Figure Picture(s) of the Day: PRxSF part 3: Ken. A lot of the same notes as before, but I like Ken less than Ryu and Chun Li. I think it's the bare arms...which doesn't really fit the PR theme. Otherwise he's fine.
I don't know that it's my favorite, but it's definitely top-tier.
Action Figure Picture(s) of the Day: PRxSF part 2: Chun Li. I also dig Chun Li. The fusion just works with her colors and outfit. Again, great accessories just missing a head.
The base is also a stand for fireball, which is extra cool.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: PRxSF Ryu. I dig this one quite a bit. As I said yesterday, extra hands, multiple effects and a base is a good package. Ryu head would be great, but not necessary now that we have some SF toys.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Power Rangers X Street Fighter. I got these cheap over several months this year because they're pretty cool. Extra hands, effects, a stand...the only thing missing is extra heads. Here's the group pic.
I'm a huge fan of Sgt Slaughter, so I had to pick it up. I love the accessories, though I like the classic color scheme better.
What is up with movies on Amazon Prime listed as "only with Ads". I pay for no ads, I should get no ads.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Firefighter part 2. I do really love how many accessories this comes with. I have some tiny gripes, but this really is a good figure and worth picking up.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: G.I. Joe Classified Firefighter. This is a pretty cool figure. I'm not sure how far they can do this part of the line, but i'm interested to see. Lots of accessories, only missing one thing!
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Turtles part 3. The ghostly/projection splinter with the light up campfire is very cool. And I love the packaging and little backdrops they added. This is how you make a set!

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: The Ray. I'm somewhat of a fan of The Ray since I picked up the 'modern' (at that time) origin for him years ago. Saw this and figured I'd get it, since it's 1/12 scale. I like it. Extra head and hands is good, and it holds up well for being 7ish years old.

Friday Night games: Dave is not really into Battletech, so trying something else for a bit. We backed both the 1st Relic Knights Kickstarter, so we have plenty of models. Had a fun time, if it ended up as our bosses just beating on each other. Space Pirate>Catgirl Mage

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Desert Condor. I wanted someone to fit with the Vanguard and he fits the bill. As usual, lots of good accessories and a great value if you want a military figure. I with they'd done a normal, unmasked head in this pack. I dislike the screaming head.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Another Action Force. Senshi. I like the accessories that take him from 'realistic' military to basically G.I. Joe member. Cool accessories and, of course, extra hands!
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Now on to some Action Force! Picked up some figures i'd missed. Here's the re-issue of Trigger. Solid figure. Not a ton of accessories, but more than it appears since the holsters are filled. A good value if you like military figures.
Those thigh cuts are ugly as heck! I hope that's an early version and the production one has those calmed down a bit.
Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai. Very odd, but interesting. Not as much action as I thought. Very much a 'just see where it goes' movie. Don't regret the purchase, it'll be an occasional watch.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Night Creepers. Ended up with 2 as the 2nd was super-cheap (and got me free shipping). I dig them. Like that they have multiple heads, extra hands, and a bunch of weapons. Definitely a solid troop builder.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Cobra Island Cobra Trooper, part 2. I do really like how he looks, but the weapons are meh (a common issue with early G.I. Joes). The look ok, but the pegs sticking out of them are lame. Especially seeing how new figures have gone. Still a solid figure
Tonight's movie was Fantastic Four: First Steps. I liked it, didn't love it. I thought Superman and Thunderbolts were better. Need to process it. Will definitely give it another look once it's on D+
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Cobra Island Cobra Trooper. I'd missed this one originally, so I found one at a good price and got him. This was classified's formative time and it kinda shows (more on that tomorrow). A solid figure overall with ok accessories.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Cobra Troopers (retro version). After the Vipers wowed me, decided to pick these up. They are not nearly as good. Solid weapons, but no hands. They're decent but not amazing.
I miss the Decipher Star Wars TCG. But it was not balanced around what the prequels brought...
I love Death to Smoochy. Odd, but hits the right comedy notes throughout it.
Tonight's movie: The Substitute 2. This is an enjoyable movie that hits all the clichès. It's not amazing, but solid and elevated by the ever-enjoyable Treat Williams.
Friday night I finally saw Twisters. While I wish it was more connected to Twister, I still enjoyed the heck out of the movie. Not a hard plot to figure out, but the actors had good chemistry and the effects were solid. Would've been worth it in the theater, maybe matinee.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Nemesis Immortal part 2. So, extra head, extra hands...this one is missing only one thing, and it's not a normal thing I criticize. A base. The wings make him very hard to pose and stand, so base would've been a great idea. Otherwise a fine figure.
Also seen recently: xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. Man, what to say about this movie. I always remember it as better than it actually is . It's almost good. I like a lot of the characters. Donnie Yen is amazing. A couple great action sequences, but it still just misses.
Mission Impossible 2: I'll start by saying I do enjoy it overall...but it is clearly the weakest of the series. Pacing is odd, overly dramatic at points, and fights that are way beyond what the series does otherwise. I'd rate it better as an action movie than as a M:I movie.

I literally just opened them all up on Monday. They're decent. A bit loose joints (as you expect from Hasbro during that era), but pretty decent. More accessories than I had thought, too.

I hate when the dumbbell pops out of the neck. How hard is it to just make them all the same so we can custom head swap?
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Roadpig finale. His tattoos are very nice work and add a lot of character. Only one downside...the shield does not really fit at all. I really wish they'd work on these. But it's not enough to drop the figure in any rankings I keep...well worth it.

They're almost perfect. A couple figure flaws due to when they came out, but really solid figs.

Agreed. Palladium games are very, very playable. Aside from a couple games of D&D, Palladium games were most of what I played into the 90s.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Gnawgahyde part 2. Double pets is great. Yobbo (the monkey) has limited articulation and only fits in certain spots. Porkbelly (the boar) is a bit better, very similar to the wolves and dogs. Still, a fig with this many accessories is always a win.
I love how the rifle fits in the case. Though it's stock is quite short and odd to me.

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: A couple weeks ago, I was wasting time in a Walmart, and saw the display of How to Train Your Dragon. So I got Toothless at the same time for me. It's a solid figure for the price, but minimal poseability really hurts it for me.

If I played 40K still, i'd consider them... The new models are so cool!

Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Got the Trouble Bubble at the same time as the Valkyries, also at discount due to a ding in the package. Let's start with the Tele-Viper. Pretty cool. Love that he's got three heads. Though no extra hands. Still cool overall.
And the cherry on top is that he'd look really good...if he fit in vehicle mode.
I know some transformations are tedious, but this one was downright frustrating. I'm gonna keep him in bot form. Really glad he was on deep, deep discount...if i'd paid anything close to full price i'd have been really pissed.
