It’s been 3 months since the election. Canada has lower tariffs than any country. Provinces are not united on action. US courts may rule that tariffs are responsibility of Congress, not Trump. Mid-terms are 15 months away. CUSMA lasts for two more years and is critical to renegotiate properly.

Electricity prices in France have been capped, EDF sells power at a loss. The truth is that nuclear energy in France is highly subsidized by taxpayers. EDF debt is €64.5 Billion in 2023, they had the largest corporate loss in twenty years. If nuclear is cheap and profitable, why all the debt?
France has not shown the opposite at all. EDF has experienced long delays to build with 3x and 4x cost overruns. Heavy debt and a failure to cover total cost of operation. Decommissioning is not properly funded. Nuclear is not profitable anywhere, it never has been.
I’m not anti-nuclear per se. I am anti-spend-more-than-you-have-to.
Solar + battery gets cheaper every day. Nuclear installations only get more expensive to build over time.
