I can say from experience, it is very hard to write code to generate tournament tables that reflect the head to head rules, because you dont know till end of the pool games where tie breaks are needed.
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
These are the games that matter : Pol 66 Isr 64 Isr 82 Fr 69 FR 83 Pol 76 from those 3 games, I get points diff as ISR +11, Pol -5, FR -6
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
I haven't looked at the specifically games here but generally FIBA rules for tournaments is that only head to head games count for tiebreaking, I think the PD in that table is probably against ALL opponents

Grover that she knew of RTs Gender Identity. Do you see a way that this would be overcome? I.e Either an argument that knowledge of her GI was not required element of direct discrimination, OR evidence that Grover did in fact know her GI?
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
I have read the judgement in the original case and heard a little bit (only) of yesterday's case . I also tried to follow monday and today via ppl livetweeting. The difficulty with a direct discrimination finding as I understand it from original judgement is there was no evidence put to (1/2)
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
actually you may be right that TvG wasnt livestreamed. The appeal certainly will be though - you can see that in the court list notice here: www.fedcourt.gov.au/court-calend...
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
there was (and still is) an open file for the original hearing, which you can see here : www.fedcourt.gov.au/services/acc... And it was also livestreamed - the streams are only visible 'live' they are not archived.
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
Hopefully the court will get sick of having to review individual access requests and create an open file
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
Its a bit odd and annoying that the original case was deemed to be of sufficient public interest to warrant an online file, but not the appeal.

Am way at the edge of my understanding, but I seem to recall that one of the effects of distortion (overdrive) is it adds harmonic overtones. i.e. an octave, maybe a 4th or 5th as well. So a completely accurate sheet music for clean guitar would have to include those overtones.

well apart from the obvious counterexamples of people who were not registered at all.
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
I was originally looking at this to see if there were any counterexamples to assumption within EHRC proposed defintion of "legal sex", that every person has in fact had a binary sex record at time of birth
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
When I look at the current Tas legislation, it reads to me as if it is still mandatory to have a binary sex be part of the original registration? I mean whats recorded in the registry, not the birth certificate www.legislation.tas.gov.au/view/html/in...
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
Are there any governments where a binary sex is not recorded as a mandatory part of registering a birth? I found a few news articles about tas considering making sex be an optional part of initial reg around 2018 but doesn't seem to have been enacted

These grants have been going on for decades, you may be thinking of the "Building the Education Revolution" grants that Gillard govt which were used as stimulus during the GFC (and also were available to public schools). Anyway glad you agree that capital grants to rich private schools should stop.
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
the biggest rort the big private schools get is federal govt capital grants, i.e. for building projects like the private castle Scots College just unveiled. this is ONLY given to private schools. www.education.gov.au/other-common...
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
If that's all they got, you may have a point. But they get more- which is absurd and unfair.

So basically- the tariffs were working great, until woke elites told lies about them, and the lies made a bunch of businesses go bust
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
Step 2 - tell the audience that anything they observe themselves (empty shelves, getting laid off, etc) is because of the economic impacts of the lies claimed in step 1.
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
My prediction is it will be the following 2 step tango. Step 1 - claim "woke elites " are lying when they report bad things are happening (stock markets down, unemployment up etc).
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
So the (current) answer is no, as the tarrifs currently apply to goods only, not services
Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent

Jonno (@jonnosan.bsky.social) reply parent
I bet that for a lot of the smaller countries (Laos, Reunion, Tonga etc) their main "export" to the US is actually tourism.
