Think before you wish? :D OK. But think about this: it's the GM's *responsibility* to misinterpret your wish as much as they possibly can. Think of all the movies/books that make that point about wishes! If you want to be that plot point, OK. Otherwise, think of something else to do. :p #ttrpg

Storytelling is not railroading when the GM and the players do it together in emergent fashion. Yeah, the GM needs to include the players, not block the players. And yeah, players need to think like real people participating in an epic story, not one- or two-dimensional figures in a video game.

My thoughts: I still play in games that use VTT, but I am running Theater of the Mind games and don’t need or use a VTT. If you’re playing a tactical RPG, VTT is necessary. If you’re not, it’s unnecessary and a distraction. Horror, I would think, is probably the latter.
