The Agriculture Department has axed two programs that gave schools and food banks money to buy food from nearby farms and ranchers. Roughly $660 million that schools and child care facilities were counting on to purchase food has been canceled. This will hurt both kids and small, local farmers.

I was born in the 1960’s. I just had my MMR antibodies tested. I got my results back today. I was shocked to learn I have NO measles antibodies. I need to get a booster. Please check your antibodies if you are not sure or born in the 1960’s.
The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025. This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.
