You are right and you should say it. It's not ableist, it is factual and not a judgment: A significant proportion of the population has literal brain damage and does not know it.

It burns me up to see this shit when there are plenty of proudly self-identified historical WOMEN who were rebellious, "masculine," or otherwise wildly nonconforming-in-expression. Barry *tells us* he was a man; undermining him is cruel and unnecessary. It does not diminish womanhood to respect him!

Also, actual low-frequency harms from the vax require more and better study, not less. COVID is a new disease; these are new vaccines. Some info suggests the vax can be a mast cell activation trigger and have gnarly interactions with underlying infections. We should study and prevent those things!

Analysis suggests incidence of Long COVID at 4% of pediatric infections and 10% of adult infections; that's just in *documented* SARS-CoV-2 cases, and the adult risk may be as high as 26%. That's NOT rare, and even the now-compromised CDC website emphasizes "Anyone can get Long COVID." (2/2)

The problem isn't that LLMs "aren't good enough yet" or "need help"—it's that, as always, rich people want slavery. A lot of white people want slavery. A lot of people, period, desire slaves. Creating a digital slave that you call sentient begets extreme devaluation and disrespect of human labor.

One thing that the backlash to COVID has taught me is that nobody understands how risk works. The bars opened before the schools because going to a bar is an opt-in activity and going to school is required, not to mention schools being a place where germs are passed around all the time.

I am not even a Dior girlie, really, but I love how this one almost feels like a modern child of the Worth Ironwork gown.

Not weird! Though I don't do it much. I do have one beautiful silver print from when a very nice street photographer took pictures of me at an event. He was so respectful about it, was shooting film, and offered me a future print for my trouble. The photo is great on its own merits, and I love it.

This piece is from last year, but my urge to email it to every member of the mainstream media has not waned: (Should be a gift link. Alt: Link card featuring a photo of RFK Jr. mid speech, for an article titled "What the Fuck Is a 'Vaccine Skeptic'?")

In my admittedly limited experience, Chicago is a beautiful city and quite welcoming of visitors who are not threatening military occupation.

TBH it would be fabulous if the rich dedicated themselves more to beauty and patronage. Keep hundreds of skilled artisans employed! Fund an orchestra! Build a park with an amphitheater! Hire four tailors, three cooks, and two full-time gardeners! Commission painters! Pay them all extravagantly!

I have been saying this for something like 15 years and I am so tired, folks: the tactics. Of the right. Don't work. For the left. Because their politics are divisive and anti-community. Ours aren't. They win when politics is toxic and vicious. We win by building solidarity.

Once more, with feeling: Do what you need to do to get vaccinated, and also PUT ON A FUCKING MASK. You live in a society. Act like it.

If you use Google as your search engine and would like to avoid sending every single query through the "AI" world-burning filter, you can set your default search to web only. I encourage you to do this. Tell your friends and family. Evict that useless nonsense from your day-to-day search behavior.

I set my URL-bar default search to web only and it significantly improved my life. I don't want to even SEE that garbage.

This is exemplary in its clarity and simplicity. I hope many, many students—at Harvard and elsewhere—read it.
