He wants to designate May 8th “Victory Day for World War II,” apparently failing to realize it’s already been called V-E Day as Victory in Europe Day and that the war didn’t end until August 1945 when Japan surrendered.
It was originally called Armistice Day to commemorate the end of WWI until the mid-1950s after WWII & the Korean War when it was decided to change it to Veterans Day to honor all veterans.
How preposterous. He couldn’t be bothered to show up at a US cemetery in France on the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI b/c it was raining & that would’ve messed with his precious hair weave.
