A story that really struck me is one time at a conference, Kirk walks up to Piker and tries to “dap [me] up.” Whether or not that was sincere was beside the point: Kirk was a networker, he viewed Piker as a coworker and wanted Piker to feel the same.
So for better and for worse I’ve been listening to a lot of Hasan Piker on this issue lately; he and Kirk are in many ways analogous to one another, they knew each other, they came into the scene around the same time, etc etc
