There's an argument that focusing on masters racing kills junior racing, because the guys who would be helping juniors are now doing their own race instead. Also less time in a race day schedule for juniors to have their own race, in the case of cx or crits.
Masters have much more time, energy and resources to complain than do junior or parents of juniors. Anyway, look at results from junior nationals back in the late 90s through maybe 2010, look at who the US pros were in the ensuing years, look at the % from CO. It's not the air there.
I would also like to believe that, but I expect more of a mixed reaction. I hope I'm wrong.
So, be wary of landmines. You probably know this, but not all bike racers (or officials or promoters) are in favor of basic human rights, so you may get a mixed reaction to leaving USAC over their new policy.
Dan DePaemelaere was one of the voices I remember raising questions about ACA finances. I know who Dan is but I've never met him. I don't know Beth well, but I had zero suspicions of any sort of malfeasance or anything of that sort. I think some masters got tired of paying for junior development.
hunt initiated by people who simply didn't like the ACA model whereby masters essentially funded juniors. If you look at the ACA junior camps and programs of that era, they were tops in the US. 3/4 of US Worldtour riders for a while grew up in CO. I don't remember all the details, but
The ED (Beth Wrenn-Estes) was accused of financial malfeasance and she decided it was not worth the effort to fight it so she just stopped. She had some health issues which contributed to that decision. Without her, the whole thing folded rather quickly. It always appeared to me like a witch
You are probably aware the ACA (now BRAC) used to be its own sanctioning body as an alternative to USAC. Close to 20 years ago now, NM took up with them as well for many local events. Point being, there was a lot of history with how that all ended in CO. Not all good, landmines abound.

Even if that's the case (and I don't think it is) the thing that causes job replacement isn't demonstrated performance, it's executive belief in profitability. Fields are being salted by lay-people motivated to belive that a cheaper piece of software is more effective than more expensive experts.

Fortunately the thinking in coaching circles has shifted over the past decade or so to doing exactly that.

I can do the whole thing in 20 minutes. I can do it at home, in a hotel gym, or in the gym of our building in Mpls. It's like eating vegetables, some days I like it more than others, but I know if I don't do it I'll lose strength and I don't want that.
Some weeks it's a grind, but I set a goal of two sessions per week (generally weekdays when I get home from work). 2-3 sets each of two pushing exercises, two pulling exercises, some hinge exercise, and some lateral movement. I start every session with a 4-exercise core routine that manages my back.
I come up with silly little challenges: How many pull ups can I do in a session, how many push ups, can I do some minimum amount, can I increase that amount week over week, etc. We also enclosed a porch a few years ago and made it a workout room, just walk in and start - easy peasy.
You know I'm a lifelong aerobic athlete, but I would add lifting some heavy things or doing something to build and maintain muscle mass and strength after age 50.

Best job I've ever done bedding in discs is on my commuter bike where I'm running the trifecta of cheap brakes, cheap rotors and cheap pads. Dialed them in to where I've got great power and no squealing whatsoever. Meanwhile, the Ultegra IceTech rotors on my road bike give me fits.

Gee says contract terminated, IPT has already responded that he still has a contract. Gee's team must believe there has been breach by IPT and now we're in contract dispute phase. Contract disputes are often governed by the terms of the contract itself as to form and venue for dispute resolution.
Final stage of the TdF last year was a 33.7 km TT, so you saw many of the GC guys (including Pog and Jonas) cool down on their TT bike throughout most of the race.

I agree, I don't think divebombing is necessarily unsafe. I have both divebombed and been divebombed countless times in 33 years of racing. I thought Gaudu was absolutely at the limit of traction, and it could easily have gone wrong. He made it though, so a shrug is the right reaction.
