I've only ever done this for two different festivals and it seems to be the norm. A lot of the submissions are college ones encouraged by lecturers, so quality does vary significantly.

Anywhere from 30seconds to 10 mins. Started off with the longest, with periodic jaunts to the shortest as a palette cleanser. It's the middle 5-6 minuters that will be the hardest.
