I break computers, and I play games. Sometimes I fix computers. Lately, I use computers to do math and stats. I like to learn, and I like raspberries. I live among scents, plants, and Lego bricks. I'm a bath geek. I can shape-shift. I also read a lot.

Hmm... What can go wrong with mandatory monitors on everyone's wrists?

Sapolsky also has a cool course on behavioral biology on Stanford's youtube channel.

I'd just give a kid a normal book and the dictionary. That was me. When I was a kid I have to lie to librarians that weirdly specific archeology books are for my mom. 'Why zebras don't get ulcers' is for layman people, so it should be good for a kid. It's neuro in a psychology context.

I would like my state, every state, to mandate badges, name plates, no masks, for all law enforcement in the state. And if federal agents try to break the mandate, arrest them, then let the courts sort it out.

Just finished 'Fancy Bear Goes Phishing' by Scott J. Shapiro. What a book! It was surprisingly technical, and at the same time wonderfully narrated. It has a story, and it has lots of great insights, provoking all kinds of thoughts. Great lecture. Thank you @scottjshapiro

This statement from Jonathan Joss's husband is heart breaking. No, headline writers, he wasn't "killed in an argument with a neighbor." He was *deliberately murdered* for being gay right after his dog was decapitated. Bet the murderer calls himself a "Christian." THIS is why Pride is important.

It’s been lost in the tariff news but the fact that the U.S. government can accuse you of a crime and send you to an El Salvadoran prison without trial, is legitimately scarier than the most hyperbolic claims of fascism made by the left during the election.

I feel silly for postponing this attempt for so long. Lesson learned: I need to erase my memories of how pita it was to run some stuff via wine.

Y'all. It took less than 30 minutes from booting a machine with linux install pen to installing Diablo IV on that machine without any black magic. This is unbelievable. We really went far with the accessibility of linux based systems for mere mortals. This is absolutely awesome.

Awesome, thank you so much! I will totally check it out.

This is my last straw. I really really need to look into how to run Blizz games on linux. I know it's possible, and apparently not that bad at all.

nobody wants to sign into notepad to use AI features Microsoft, notepad is where you go to paste things and then copy them out again to get rid of formatting, or keep a big list of passwords that you ought but for some reason aren't keeping in a password manager
