im not gonna debate the ethics of browsing/posting on that board here bc i know its a very divisive topic. i know how easy it is to fall into the glue trap there because a lot of the time it can feel like a temporary bandaid for your misery that will very quickly consume you if you aren't careful.

if you dont feel safe at riptide that is understandable and i will never fault anyone for prioritizing their safety. i just think calling for a boycott is reactionary and is only going to harm the growth of the scene unless we provide a real, tangible solution alongside it.
almost all of our majors are tied to smash because for the longest time that's how we were even able to secure a venue. now that splatoon has grown as large as it has i dont think that need exists anymore and we should shift the energy we have for boycotting to starting our own grassroots events.
