Gifted with a 7'5" wingspan on his 6'8" frame, he's the prototypical big man for the Dubs. Once described as defense-only, he has shown quick spin moves and balance to float in shots around the basket in Summer League and late in his college career. Reminds me of Kenneth Faried.
I like how Ja Vier Francis goes up immediately after he shoots to battle for a rebound. He has that motor and we'll see if he can do enough to earn a spot as an UDFA rookie for the Warriors.
We all watched the horrific officiating in the 2nd half of the NCAA Championship game that allowed Florida to close the gap and pull off the upset. Happy that we get to watch two former Cougs still have the motor to make their way on an NBA roster. They are giving the Warriors a lot to think about.
I was also impressed with the shooting from Cryer and the rim protection, low post moves and rebounding effort from Francis. Two Houston Cougar Alums that look ready for the NBA.

It’s a team game and they run a system. He can get numbers handling the ball against soft midseason defenses from the top of the key, but the team doesn’t win. If he could play the PF role alongside Jimmy and Dray, he would dominate. If he developed his post game and drew fouls, that would be great.
Moody has shown his ability to defend and attack the rim when he wasn't hitting from deep. Kinda hope he finds that tenacity against these Wolves because he seems to have the skill to draw contact while shooting. Make those refs blow the whistle.

Dubs were 2-7 the last half of December, but Kuminga was balling. Against the Clippers, he had 34pt 10 rb and 5 assists while handling the rock from the top of the key. He needs to be effective crashing the glass and cutting from the perimeter as he will be ignored on the baseline.
Before his injury, Kuminga was starting to stack double digit rebounds per 36 min. They were losing games but JK was emerging as a threat. He was stretching out at the baseline and cutting on every short roll. With Steph out, they need to find a way to use him as a release valve with Jimmy creating.
Is Tyrese the new Petty King? If he didn't directly call out his own father's actions taunting Giannis, I wouldn't be rooting as hard for him. His reputation may have taken a hit for not being on the Team USA rotation, but he didn't complain like the Tatum camp. East is on notice!
