Has to be seeing Leonard Cohen in May, 2008 at the Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, capacity 761 soft seats. He waxed poetic about watching a sailor tie knots earlier that day. 2 months later he performed a concert at the O2 in London, capacity 16,000, which became his Live in London album.

NS Liberals will table the Social Media Responsibility Act. If passed Bluesky will no longer be available in Nova Scotia. The platform would be required to prove all users are 16 years of age which it has refused to do in other areas.

A life-sized bronze statue has been unveiled on the island of Papa Westray, Orkney, in memory of the last known Great Auk Pinguinus impennis killed there in 1813. The statue is an exact replica of the preserved remains of the bird, which are held by the Natural History Museum.

I don’t see how any country can now allow US-regulated providers to supply critical state infrastructure like cloud hosting, utilities, or financial services. They’re too exposed to US government control. Your critical infrastructure could be frozen at any point if you anger the US

Govt intervened way too early in the Air Canada strike, and it's caused chaos. If the strike had been allowed to play out for days, pressure increases on both employer and union to bargain. Instead, AC ran to govt to put their thumb on the scale, and now the natural balance is skewed

In the early aughts, a teenager was sued $675,000 for downloading 31 songs. Maybe if your entire business is built on the theft of copywrited material, and your argument when sued is that your company would be doomed if you had to operate lawfully - maybe that’s not a company that needs to exist.
