I worked closely with Saginaw Inter Tribal Council in Michigan. I advocated for substance abuse clients but also did things like organizing pow wows. When I told a speaker/dancer at a pow wow that a mutual friend had died he said "He walked on, huh?" Can't tell you how deeply that resonated with me.

Yes, it is. I just saw him described as "the greatest athlete that ever lived" and I thought that was a perfect description! He was an exceptionally big horse but it's hard to believe his full stride measured just short of 25 feet!! That's more than four times my height!
